brand new blog!

well quite a few folks have asked me to create a blog so they can see what's new here on the farm and in the yarn studios, so, grin, here it is!
let me first introduce myself to you, i am sandy (yes i rarely use caps, why bother? my mind works faster than my typing, lol) the owner and chief handmaiden of a group of much loved alpacas, rabbits, sheep and goats who all live on our rural minnesota family farm. okay so not much unique there, EXCEPT (notice the caps that means this next sentence is important, grin), i make unique designer yarns from our beloved livestock's fiber, and sell the yarns and the fibers and even some hand made goods too.
our websites are-
www.notjustyarns.com
and
www.glacialridgealpacas.com
i hope you'll enjoy this blog and check out our websites too!

even more dyeing from yesterday...

it was too hot here (97 degrees with 87% humidity) for me to do much else but run up and back moving sprinklers and turning them off and on every 20 minutes for the alpacas- who won't share the cool water with me, pout) so i was able to dye in  between, some are wool, some are alpaca, all lovely in my eyes, grin.. more later!
