brand new blog!

well quite a few folks have asked me to create a blog so they can see what's new here on the farm and in the yarn studios, so, grin, here it is!
let me first introduce myself to you, i am sandy (yes i rarely use caps, why bother? my mind works faster than my typing, lol) the owner and chief handmaiden of a group of much loved alpacas, rabbits, sheep and goats who all live on our rural minnesota family farm. okay so not much unique there, EXCEPT (notice the caps that means this next sentence is important, grin), i make unique designer yarns from our beloved livestock's fiber, and sell the yarns and the fibers and even some hand made goods too.
our websites are-

and

i hope you'll enjoy this blog and check out our websites too!

minuet's new baby

our own minuet(daughter of our amazing stud panasche's bolero and our own accoyo le moustachio's lily) is expecting her first cria this week( cria= alpaca baby) from our newest stud, full accoyo big wig(accoyo bolivar son , grandson of the famous vengador and great grandson of the legendary shere khan!).. so i keep wandering back outside to peek and see if anything is happening yet.. here they all are-(i'll post pics of the new lil one when she's born too!)

newest yarns

this dreary morning(will it ever stop raining?) i needed something anything to brighten up my day so i created  this new yarn-it uses a silk blend yarn added to a tufted cotton yarn then added again to our own angora/mohair blend lace fuzzy, it's delicate spring shades were a nice contrast to the gray world outside.
